Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: pengaruh strtaegipembelajaran elaborasi dan konvensional terhadap hasil belajar Biologi,pengaruh gaya kognitif terhadap hasil belajar Biologi, dan interaksi antarastrategi pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalampenelitian ini berjumlah 100 orang yang diambil dari 10 kelas XI SMA Negeri IMedan. Sedangkan sampel berjumlah 40 orang yang diambil dari 2 kelas denganmenggunakan cluster random sampling. Sebelum perlakuan diberikan terlebihdahulu sampel penelitian diberikan tes gaya kognitif untuk mengetahui jenis gayakognitif yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Tes hasil belajar biologi digunakan untukmenjaring data penelitian guna menguji hipotesis penelitian yang sebelumnya testerlebih dahulu diujicoba untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas dan reliabilitasnya.Statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah statistik deskriptif untukmenyajikan data dan statistik inferensial untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian.Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan Anava 2 jalur dan sebelumdigunakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis data yaitu ujinormalitas menggunakan uji Lilliefors dan uji homogenitas varians menggunakanuji Bartlet. Jika terdapat interaksi antara variabel penelitian, analisis dilanjutkandengan menggunakan uji Scheffe.Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaranelaborasi dan strategi pembelajaran konvensional memberi pengaruh yangberbeda terhadap hasil belajar Biologi. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung 5,12 >Ftabel = 3,97 pada taraf signifikan α= 0,05 dengan dk = (1,76). Gaya kognitiffield independent dan gaya kognitif field dependent memberikan pengaruh yangberbeda terhadap hasil belajar Biologi. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung = 13,43 >Ftabel = 3,97 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dengan dk = (1,76), dan terdapatinteraksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap hasil belajarBiologi siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung = 30,71 > Ftabel = 3,97 pada tarafsignifikan α = 0,05 dengan dk = (1,76). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, makadiharapkan kepada guru-guru Biologi untuk meningkatkan kemampuanmengelola dan merencanakan pembelajaran agar hasil belajar yang dicapaisiswa meningkat.
