Abstract

This research aims to study a correlation between variables of human resource development strategy and teacher achievement motivation, to study a correlation of democracy leadership type and teacher achievement motivation and a correlation of human resource development strategy and democracy leadership stype collectively to the teacher achievement motivation.Population of this study is all of teacher at SMP subsdistrict of Labuhan Deli, regency of Deli Serdang for 248 persens, while the sample is 69 persons. Before the data collecting, instrument was tested to know the validaty and reliability.Data of study is processed and tested for lineartity and homogeneity. And based on the results of study indicates that coefficient of variable correlation between human resource development strategy and teacher achievement motivation at SMP subsdistrict of Labuhan Deli (rxy2) = 0.849, while coefficient of variable correlation between democracy leadership type of principal and teacher achievement motivation (rxy2) = 0.849. Base on significant test of correlation coefficient between X1 and Y, t calculated is 48.753 that more than t-table (2,00). It means that there is a significant correlatin between human resources development strategy and teacher achievement motivation at SMP in subsdistrict of Labuhan Deli, regency of Deli Serdang. Signidicant test of correlation coeffiecient between X2 and Y, t. calculated is 13.155 that more than t-table (2,00). It means that there is a significant correlation between work discipline and teacher achievement motivation at SMP subsdistrict of Labuhan Deli, regency of Deli Serdang therefore, the Hypothesis 1 and 2 can be accepted its true.The determinant value rxyl = 0.9038 means that human resource development strategy influence the teacher achievement motivation of SMP partially, while determination value of rxy2 = 0.7082 means that 7.82 % of leadership type influence the teacher achievement motivation at SMP subsdistrict of Labuhan Deli, regency of Deli Serdang.There is a multiregression equation between human resource development strategy (X1), democracy leadership type of Principle (X2) and teacher achievement motivation at SMP subsdistric of Labuhan Deli (Y) is Y = 2.533 + 0.982X1 + 0.053X2 on significan level a = 0.05. This equation means if human resources development strategy and democracy leadership type are increase mutually for 1 point. This indicated by F statistic test in which the score of F calculated is more than F-table on significant level 5 %. It concluded that the better/higher of human resource development strategy and democray leadership type of Principal, the teacher achievement motivation is better/higher.Coeffiecient of determination (R2) is 0.973 that means 97.30 % of Y score can be described collectively by independent variables X1 and X2.
