Abstract

Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah : 1) Mengetahui tingkat kelayakan penggunaan media komputer yang dikembangkan, 2) Mengetahui efektivitas pengembangan media komputer yang dihasilkan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung pada anak usia 5-6 tahun.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research And Development/ R&D). Subyek dalam penelitan ini adalah siswa kelompok B Bintang di TK Pembina Negeri I Medan Tahun Pelajaran2016/2017sebanyak26anak terdiri dari 12 anak perempuan dan 14 anak laki-laki. Objek penelitian ini adalah pengembangan media komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TKNegeri Pembina 1 Medan (tingkat kelayakan penggunaan media komputer, efektivitas peningkatan kemampuan berhitung pada anak usia 5-6 tahun melalui media komputer). Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil tes awal dan tes akhir pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berhitung anak dengan menggunakan media komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik yang sudah dikembangkan terhadap tema diri sendiri subtema identitasku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Tingkat kelayakan media komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik berdasarkan : a) hasil validasi dari ahli materi terhadap kelayakan isi dari media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”.b) hasil praktis dari guru menyatakan bahwa seluruh guru memerlukan media komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik dalam proses pembelajaran sementara anak lebih senang belajar dan lebih memudahkan anak dalam belajar berhitung dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran ini.(2) Hasil efektivitas dari media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berhitung anak setelah menggunakan media komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hanya menggunakan buku dan poster sebagai media pembelajaran dimana nilai rata-rata tes awal anak yaitu 59 dan pada tes akhir meningkat menjadi 79,23. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwasanya telah terjadi peningkatan nilai anak untuk kemampuan berhitung dari tes awal dan tes akhir sebesar 20,23. Berdasarkan kesimpulan di atas maka penelitian ini menyarankan (a) bagi guru, agar selalu mengembangkan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan komputer berbasis pembelajaran saintifik untuk pembelajaran berhitung anak, (b) bagi siswa, dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan oleh guru diharapkan sangat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak serta mampu mencapai prestasi yang lebih baik lagi.
