Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika kelas IVB, siswa cenderung tidak aktif selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitianini bertujuanuntuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode permainan susun bilangan dan tekateki silang materi bilangan romawi. Definisi operasional variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu aktivitas belajar siswa dan metode permainan susun bilangan dan teka-teki silang. Aktivitas belajar adalah kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan melalui proses interaksi guru dan siswa yang menunjang keberhasilan belajar, metode permainan susun bilangan merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang inovatif yang menggunakan anggota tubuh, sedangkan metode permainan teka-teki silang adalah salah satu metode pembelajaran aktif bagi peserta didik yang melibatkan semuapeserta didik untuk berfikir saat pembelajaran berlangsung dengan mengisi teka-teki.adalah suatu metode dalam pembelajaran Matematika untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar siswa dengan tujuan membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep pada materi bilangan romawi yang cara mainnya adalah dengan mengisi jawaban ke dalam kotak teka-teki silang secara mendatar atau menurun berupa huruf romawi. Jenis penelitian yaitu Peneltian tindakan Kelas, lokasi peneltian di SD Negeri 101776 Sampali, beralamat di Jl. Irian Barat Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB sebanyak 27orang, 18 orang laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan metode permainan susun bilangan dan teka-teki silang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus yang dilakukan dalam dua kali pertemuan, dengan 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa dan observasi kegiatan mengajar guru. Berdasarkan analisi data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung pada setiap pertemuan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang baik. Pada siklus I pertemuan 1 nilai ratarata yang diperoleh mencapai 46,50 dengan persentase keberhasilan 14,82% dan pada pertemuan 2 nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh mencapai 63,50 dengan persentase keberhasilan yang dicapai 48,15%. Pada siklus II pertemuan 1 nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh mencapai 72,84 dengan persentase kebrehasilan 77,77% dan pada pertemuan 2 nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh mencapai 85,73 dengan persentase keberhasilan yang dicapai 100%.
