Abstract

Masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran student teams achievement division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pokok pecahan sederhana di kelas III SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat Kabupaten Deli Serdang T.A 2016/2017. Guru masih mengutamakan metode ceramah sehingga sehingga hasil belajar matematika siswa menjadi rendah. Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas masih rendah pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk “ meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan metode student teams achievement division (STAD) di kelas III SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat Kabupaten Deli Serdang T.A 2016/2017. Skripsi jurusan PPSD, Program studi PGSD FIP-UNIMED tahun 2017” Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari II siklus, siklus I dan siklus II. Sebelum dilakukan tindakan pada siklus I peneliti melakukan pre test untuk mengetahui belajar siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode student teams achievement division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika di kelas III SD 101772 tanjung selamat Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Sebelum dilaksanakan tindakan, hasil belajar siswa masih rendah dengan ketuntasan 14,80% sudah mencapai ketuntasan belajar tetapi masih beberapa orang siswa. Setelah dilakukan tindakan pada siklus I diperoleh tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa 66,00% yang berarti secara keseluruhan belum mencapai standar minimal ketuntasan belajar. Hasil tes pada siklus II diperoleh tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 81,00% hal ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan siklus II hasil belajar siswa lebih meningkat dan dinyatakan bahwa mencapai ketuntasan klasikal ≥ 70%. Rata-rata nilai pada saat pre test adalah 46 meningkat setelah diberikan tindakan pada post test siklus I menjadi 69,2 dan setelah diberikan tindakan kembali post test siklus II meningkat menjadi 84. Dalam observasi siswa pada siklus I 67,66% dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan 82,41% Penggunaan Metode Student Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi pecahan sederhana di kelas III SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat T.A 2016/2017.
