Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara budaya organisasi, toleransi terhadap konflik dengan kepuasan kerja pegawai, baik sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama-sama.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey, yang dilaksanakan di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Sumatera Utara. Teknik pengambilan sample menggunakan stratified ramdom sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 45 orang pegawai golongan III. Data dikumpulkan dengan instrument budaya organisasi (X1), toleransi terhadap konflik (X2) dan kepuasan kerja pegawai (Y) yang disusun sendiri oleh penulis dengan bentuk skala likert.Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi sederhana dan parsial, persamaan regresi sederhana serta korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat (1) Hubungan positif antara budaya organisasi (X1) dengan kepuasan kerja pegawai (Y) yang ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi ry1 = 0,376, dan persamaan regresi Y = 86,852 + 0,596 X1; (2) Hubungan negative tidak signifikan antara toleransi terhadap konflik (X2) dengan kepuasan kerja pegawai (Y), yang ditunjukkan dengan persamaan regresi Y = 162,721 - 0,0885 (X2).Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepuasan kerja pegawai dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara-cara memperkuat budaya organisasi dan mengurangi potensi konflik.Dengan memperhatikan kesimpulan ini, implikasi dari hash penelitian adalah norma-norma budaya organisasi secara ketat dan transparan sangat menentukan kepuasan kerja pegawai. Oleh karena itu, budaya organisasi budaya organisasi hasus dilaksanakan secara adil dan tidak memihak agar setiap pegawai merasa memperoleh perlakuan yang sama di lingkungan organisasi yang diikutinya.Disisi lain, setiap pegawai haws meningkatkan toleransi antar pegawai yang satu dengan yang lain atau kelompok sehingga sikap yang mengarah kepada hubunbgan bukan saja diikat oleh kedinasan tetapi lebih dari itu misalnya dengan menciptakan pertemuan informal yang melibatkan pegawai dalam artian bersilaturahmi.Mengingat dalam suatu hubungan kerja, baik besar maupun kecil konflik itu selalu terjadi, maka dalam dimensi penyampaian perbedaan pendapat dengan orang lain harus dikernbanglcan etika penyampaian yang santun sehingga tidak menyinggung perasaan dan suasana yang lebih kondusif. Dalam dimensi menerima kritik atau perbedaan pendapat dengan orang lain, maka perlu dikembangican pemahaman kepada semua pegawai bahwa pendapat pribadi itu tidak selamanya paling benar, dan pendapat dua orang atau lebih akan lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan pendapat satu orang.Perlu disadari bahwa kewajiban suatu lembaga untuk dapat memberikan kondisi yang dapat memuaskan semua pegawai. Harapan-harapan yang diinginkan oleh pegawai dengan memasuki suatu lembaga atau Dinas maupun Instansi tempat bekerja diharapkan dapat dipenuhi oleh manajemen di mana ia bekerja.
