Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Dasar Kompetensi Kejuruan pada Kompetensi Menerapkan Ilmu Statika dan Tegangan Siswa Kelas X Program Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi Batu dan Beton SMK Negeri 2 Binjai T.P. 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 42 siswa. Prosedur tindakan dikemas ke dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan (planning), tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing) dan refleksi (reflecting). Pada siklus I mempelajari tentang besaran skalar, besaran vektor, sistem satuan dan hukum Newton, pada siklus II mempelajari tentang menerapkan besaran vektor untuk mempresentasikan gaya, momen dan kopel. Data penelitian diambil dari tes hasil belajar siswa, lembar observasi dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Hasil uji coba instrumen penelitian dari 25 soal pada siklus I terdapat 18 soal valid, uji tingkat kesukaran terdapat 8 soal mudah, 13 soal sedang dan 4 soal sukar, uji daya pembeda tes didapat 7 soal buruk, 11 soal cukup dan 7 soal baik, uji reliabilitas tes didapat 0,81 (sangat tinggi). Pada siklus II dari 25 soal diperoleh 20 soal valid, uji tingkat kesukaran terdapat 6 soal mudah, 17 soal sedang dan 2 soal sukar, uji daya pembeda tes didapat 6 soal buruk, 12 soal cukup dan 7 soal baik, uji reliabilitas tes didapat 0,81 (sangat tinggi). Penelitian dikatakan berhasil diukur berdasarkan rata-rata komulatif aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa memperoleh nilai minimal 70 dan tuntas secara klasikal jika seluruh kelas ≥ 75% siswanya tuntas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dengan hasil rata-rata 77% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90,48%. Hasil belajar siswa terjadi peningkatan,pada siklus I dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 70,90% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 81,79%. Hasil nilai rata-rata LKS seluruh kelompok terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I yaitu nilai rata-rata komulatif kelas 73% meningkat menjadi 83,5% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Dasar Kompetensi Kejuruan pada Kompetensi Menerapkan Ilmu Statika dan Tegangan Siswa Kelas X Program Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi Batu dan Beton SMK Negeri 2 Binjai T.P. 2014/2015. Selain itu, juga dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam menyelesai kan masalah nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dikaitkan dengan materi pelajaran di kelas.
