Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetanui apakah ada perbedaan basil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis pada siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran berhasis pada guru, (2) mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan basil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal tinggi dan rendah, (3) mertgetahui apakah ada interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal dalam mempengaruhi h a.s i I helajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, Populasi penelitian adatah seluruh siswa kela.s I SMP Negeri 24 Medan, sedangkan sampel diambil sebanyak 2 kelas secara acak (random) dengan jumlab perkelas 40 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester 11 tahun pelajaran 2005/2006. Metode penelitian adatah eksperimen dengan rancangan Faktorial 2x2, teknik analisis data menggunakan ANAVA 2x2. Kemampuan awal dan basil helajar Pendidikan Kewargancgaraan dittkur dengan menggunakan instrumen yang sarna dan clibatasi ranch kognitif, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Ada perbedaan basil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran herbasis pada siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran berbasis path guru diperoleh Fhitung = 4,6 > Ftabel = 4,08, (2) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal tinggi raenunjukkan perbedaan basil belajar yang nyata dibandingkan dengan yang berkemampuan awal rendah, dapat dilihat clari Fhitung = 14,6 > Ftabel = 4,08, (3) Ada interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal dalarrt mempengaruhi basil belajar Pendidikan Kewargancgaraan ditunjukkan dengan nilai Fhitung. = 7,9 > Ftabel= 4,08. Hasil penelitian int menyimpulkanbahwa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan untuk kelas V I SMP Negeri 24 Medan, strategi pembelajaran herbasis pada siswa lebih tinggi basil belajarnya dari pada strategi pembelajaran berhasis pada guru. Untuk siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal rendah lebih sesuai digunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis pada guru, sedangkan bagi siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal tinggi lebih sesuai digunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis pada siswa.
