Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) untuk mengetahui kemampuan berhitung anak yang diajarkan dengan metode bermain balok cruissenair dan kemampuan berhitung anak yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran langsung menggunakan balok tidak terstruktur, (2) untuk mengetahui kemampuan berhitung anak yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi dan kemampuan berhitung anak yang memiliki minat belajar rendah (3) untuk mengetahui interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dengan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan berhitung. Populasi penelitian ini adalah anak TK B TK Permata Bunda dan TK Bungong Jeumpa sebanyak 8 kelas dengan jumlah 160 anak. Sampel diambil secara random sampling dan diambilah dua kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes unjuk kerja menggunakan instrumen lembar kerja. Data minat belajar menggunakan angket untuk menentukan anak yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi dan rendah. Teknik analisis data adalah Anava dua jalur pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Scheffe. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) rata-rata kemampuan berhitung anak yang diajar dengan metode bermain balok cruissenair X = 12,8 , rata-rata kemampuan berhitung anak yang diajar dengan pembelajaran langsung menggunakan balok tidak terstruktur X = 10,60 dengan Fhitung = 1,124 > Ftabel = 1,704 (2) rata-rata kemampuan berhitung anak dengan minat belajar tinggi X = 12,80 dan kemampuan berhitung dengan minat belajar rendah X = 10,59 dengan Fhitung = 1,637 > Ftabel = 1,744 (3) terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan minat belajar dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan berhitung dengan Fhitung = 4,170 > Ftabel = 3,97. Dari hasil analisis dapat dikemukakan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang baik untuk anak yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi dan dapat membantu mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung adalah dengan metode bermain balok cruissenair sedangkan anak yang memiliki minat belajar rendah pembelajaran yang baik adalah pembelajaran langsung mengunakan balok tidak terstruktur. Implikasi dari penelitian ini secara khusus ditunjukkan kepada guru yaitu dalam penerapan pembelajaran dan memperhatikan karakteristik siswa khususnya minat belajar.
