Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik media pembelajaran di SMK berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip reka bentuk media dan komparasi motivasi siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berdasarkan perbedaan gaya belajarnya. Penelitian termasuk exspost facto dengan sampel 142 orang dibedakan dalam kelompok LS-V, LS-A dan LS-K, menggunakan instrumen PHEAA. Motivasi diukur dengan IMMS Model Keller dan analisis data menggunakan One-way Anova. Hasil penelitian menyatakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan tergolong baik dari aspek konten, kecuali soal-soal latihan yang masih tergolong kurang. Namun dari aspek kelayakan reka bentuk multimedia masih tergolong sangat rendah dan banyak kelemahan. Motivasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis multimedia secara keseluruhan tergolong tinggi. Siswa dengan gaya belajar verbal mempunyai motivasi paling tinggi dibandingkan kelompok auditori dan kinestetik. Penelitian merekomendasikan perlunya pelatihan kepada guru untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang layak agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.
