Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran aktif strategi firing line dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada kompetensi dasar memperbaiki sistem pengapian dan komponennya di kelas XII smk negeri 1 stabat tahun ajaran 2011/2012.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII semester genap yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 3 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas XII1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XII2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes hasil belajar siswa dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan jumlah 25 soal.Hasil penelitian diperoleh skor rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 6,68 dengan standar deviasi 1,43, dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 6,60 dengan standar deviasi 1,38. Pada pengujian normalitas diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen dengan Lhitung = -0,1190 dan Ltabel = 0,173, untuk kelas kontrol dengan Lhitung = -0,1170 dan Ltabel = 0,173, sehingga diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel, maka data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Pada uji homogenitas diperoleh Fhitung = 1,07 dan Ftabel = 1,98, sehingga Fhitung < Ftabel, maka kedua tabel berasal dari kelompok yang homogen. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran aktif strategi firing line dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diperoleh postes dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 17,64 dengan standar deviasi 1,78 dan kelas kontrol 12,20 dengan standar deviasi 1,04. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung = 13,27 dan ttabel = 1,676 sehingga thitung > ttabel (13,27 > 1,676) maka Ha diterima, dengan demikian hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Aktif strategi Firing Line lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Konvensional pada kompetensi dasar memperbaiki sistem pengapian dan kpmponennya di kelas XII SMK N 1 Stabat tahun ajaran 2011/2012.
