Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model PembelajaranKooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) terhadap hasilbelajar Sejarah Siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA YPI Amir Hamzah Medan Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimental, yang mana dalam pelaksanaannya sengaja diberikan perlakuan dengan Penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD kelompok eksperimen dan perlakuan Penggunaan Model pembelajaran Konvensional terhadap Kelas kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Amir Hamzah Medan yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu 83 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil 2 Kelas yang merupakan Sampel Total yaitu kelas eksperimen (kelas yang menggunakan Model Pembelajaran STAD) adalah kelas XI IPS-2 yang berjumlah 41 siswa serta kelas XI IPS-1 menjadi kelas kontrol (kelas yang penggunaan Model Konvensional) yang berjumlah 42 siswa. Jadi total sampel yang akan diteliti adalah sebanyak 83 siswa.Instrumen penelitian yang dilakukan adalah tes hasil belajar siswa berjumlah 25 soal dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang sudah divalidkan oleh validator melaluianalisis butir soal. Tes dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali, yaitu sebelum proses belajar mengajar (Pre-test) dan sesudah proses belajar-mengajar (Post-tes).Dari hasil nilai Pre-Test sebelum diberi perlakuan pada kelas eksperimendiperoleh nilai rata-rata 7,9 dengan simpangan baku (SD) sebesar 2,61 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diketahui nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 7,86 dengan simpangan baku (SD) sebesar 2,59, maka kemampuan awal siswa untuk kedua kelas adalah sama.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara penggunaan Model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan model konvensional , dimana hasil belajar Untuk Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi dari Model Konvensional. Nilai rata-rata pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 20,20 dengan nilai SD = 2,06, dan rata-rata pada kelas kelompok kontrol sebesar 16,83 dan nilai SD = 2,24. Dengan hasil analisis uji beda yang memakai Uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan derajatKebebasan (dk) = 81 menunjukkan bahwa Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar denganPenggunaan Model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar Konvensional pada materi pokok Membedakan Pengaruh Revolusi Prancisdan Revolusi Amerika terhadap Pergerakan Nasional Indonesia. Hal ini terlihatdari nilai thitung = 3,91 yang lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 1,66 dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar dengan penggunaan Model Konvensional diterima.
