Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan sifat termal dan struktur serta morfologi nano komposit abu sekam padi dengan termoplastik HDPE. Metode yang dilakukan cara nano partikel abu sekam padi dicampur dengan HDPE, dengan variasi komposisi nano abu sekam padi (2,4,6,8,10) % berat dengan internal mixer laboplastomil pada suhu 150C dengan laju 60 rpm selama 10 menit. Hasil nano komposit dikarakterisasi sifat struktur dan termal serta morfologi. Hasil analisa termal DSC ada perubahan suhu leleh dengan penambahan komposisi nono abu sekam padi namun tidak terlalu signifikan. Dari analisi TGA terlihat terjadinya stabilitas termal dengan penambahan komposisi abu sekam padi dimana suhu dekomposisinya diatas 600C. Analisis xrd secara umum mengikuti pola difraksi HDPE, namun terjadi interkalasi antara matrik HDPE dengan nano abu sekam padi dengan adanya penambahan sehingga terjadi pergeseran intensitas dan sudut difraksi. Dari hasil SEM terlihat campuran homogen antara HDPE dengan nano partikel abu sekam padi.
