Abstract

Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model kooperatif tipe STAterhadap kemampuan menganalisis unsur intrinsik cerpen „HORJA&#8223;karya Hasan Al-Banna oleh siswa kelas X SMA Perguruan Gajah Mada MedanTahun Pembelajaran 2011/2012. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Perguruan Gajah Mada Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 98 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 64 orang.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes menganalisis unsur intrinsik cerpen dalambentuk tes esai. Nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 80,12, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol adalah 65,62. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai tes kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol.Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji “t” dengan rumus :1 21 2M Mo SEM Mt&#61485;&#61485;&#61501;Dari analisis data menggunakan uji “t” diperoleh thitung 8,68, selanjutnya dikonsultasikan dengan tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% dan taraf signifikan 1% ataudengan df = (N1+N2) -2 = 62. Pada tabel t dengan df = 62 diperoleh ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5% = 2,00, dan taraf signifikan 1% = 2,65 kriteria pengujian menyatakan bahwa terima hipotesis jika ttabel < thitung > ttabel (2,00 < 8,68 > 2,65),maka hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan yakni ada perbedaan hasil belajar menganalisis unsur intrinsik cerpen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan hasil belajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis unsur intrinsik cerpen. Dan hasil belajar menganalisis unsur intrinsik cerpen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih baik dari pada hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori.
