Abstract

Berkenaan dengan implementasi kurikulum 2013 yang dimulai tahun ini khusus untuk kegiatan bimbingan dan konseling, Kurikulum 2013 menegaskan adanya daerah garapan yang disebut peminatan siswa. Bidang peminatan ini menjadi substansi pokok pekerjaan para konselor atau guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah-sekolah/madrasah. Meskipun demikian, pelayanan Bimbingan dan Konseling tentulah tidak hanya sekedar menangani program atau wilayah peminatan saja. Tugas konselor tentulah jauh lebih luas daripada bidang peminatan itu sendiri, yaitu menyangkut pengembangan pribadi peserta didik ke arah kemandirian diri mereka, yang juga mampu mengendalikan diri melalui penguatan layanan-layanan dalam bimbingan konseling, yang meliputi layanan dasar, layanan perencanaan individual, layanan responsif, dukungan sistem dan kolaboratif yang mendukung implementasi kurikulum 2013.
