Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah “rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi di kelas XI IPS 3 MAN 1 Medan T.P 2013/2014 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) dengan Strategi Pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Medan T.P 2013/2014 dengan subjek adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 3 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dimana tiap siklusnya terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk melihat hasil belajar akuntansi dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar akuntansi siswa. Sedangkan teknik analisis data adalah dengan data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Dari hasil obervasi yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil aktivitas siswa pada siklus I siswa yang masuk dalam kategori aktif sebesar 11 (34,38%) dan dari hasil belajar siswa terdapat 18 orang siswa (56,25%) yang tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 84,28. Karena persentase siswa yang aktif belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan klasikal 76% dan ketuntasan belajar siswa juga belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan hasil belajar yaitu 80% maka penelitian ini dilanjutkan ke siklus II. Pada siklus II terdapat 28 orang siswa (87,5%) yang masuk dalam kategori aktif. Sedangkan dari hasil belajar siswa terdapat 28 orang siswa (87,5%) yang tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 88,37. Karena aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa pada siklus II sudah mencapai indikator keberhasilan, maka penelitian tidak perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa antara siklus I dan siklus II yang diperoleh dengan membandingkan nilai thitung 3,07 > ttabel 2,03. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapanmodel pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) dengan Strategi Pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question di kelas XI IPS 3 MAN 1 Medan T.P 2013/2014 dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa.
