Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Stop Think Do dengan Menggunakan Strategi Small Group Workdapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar serta untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi dan peningkatan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XII IS 1 di SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi T.A 2012/2013. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi T.A 2012/2013 dengan subjek siswa kelas XII IS 1 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.Dalam pengumpulan data teknik yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan lembar angket motivasi belajar siswa.Sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yaitu reduksi data dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pretes sebelum diadakannya tindakan pada siklus I adalah sebanyak 11 siswa (33%) yang memenuhi standar ketuntasan belajar, setelah diadakan tindakan pada siklus I siswa yang telah mencapai standar ketuntasan belajar sebanyak 20 siswa (61%) dan setelah diadakan tindakan pada siklus II sebanyak 29 siswa (88%) yang telah memenuhi standar ketuntasan belajar. Sedangkan motivasi juga menunjukkan keberhasilan, hal ini terlihat dari siklus I terdapat 3 siswa (9,01%) , sedangkan pada siklus II terdapat 29 siswa (88%) dengan kriteria motivasi tinggi. Dari data hasil uji korelasi antara motivasi (variabel x) dan hasil belajar (variabel y) diperoleh rxy = 0,73 yang menunjukkan hubungan positif, artinya jika motivasi siswa tinggi maka hasil belajarnya juga akan tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaranStop Think Do dengan Menggunakan Strategi Small Group Work dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa kelas XII IS 1 pada standar kompetensi memahami penyusunan siklus akuntansi perusahaan dagang di SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi T.A 2012/2013.
