Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada pokok bahasan bentuk pangkat dan akar di kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Panai Hulu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Panai Hulu yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Dari 3 kelas dipilih 2 kelas secara acak yang kemudian menjadi kelas eksperimen I dan kelas eksperimen II. Untuk alat pengumpul data disediakan 25 soal, setelah divalidasi terdapat 5 soal yang tidak valid, dan 20 soal yang valid yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen I adalah 66,67 dan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen II adalah 59,03. Standar Deviasi hasil belajar kelas eksperimen I adalah 10,95 dan Standar Deviasi hasil belajar kelas eksperimen II adalah 11,45. Hal ini disebabkan karena pembelajaran menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih interaktif dan evaluatif daripada pembelajaran menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD. Setelah dilakukan uji-t didapat bahwa thitung = 2,892 dan ttabel = 1,669. Hal ini berarti thitung > ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kemudian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada pokok bahasan bentuk pangkat dan akar di kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Panai Hulu TA 2014/2015.
