Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Inkuiri dan metode pembelajaran Konservatif pada materi pokok indrea perasa dan indera pengecap kelas XI IPS SMA II Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa seluruhnya 228 orang. Sempel dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel acak pada 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA2 dan IPA3 yang masing-masing kelas berjumlah 38 orang, kelas XI IPA2 sebagai kelas inkuiri dan XI IPA3 sebagai kelas Konvensional. Jenis penelitian yang ydilakukan termasuk penelitian eksperimen. Hasil penelitian penunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Konvensional. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kaelas inkuiri sebesar 86,1 dengan standart deviasi 7,49, sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas konvensional sebesar 80,1 dengan standart deviasi 6,24. adanya perbedaan hasil belajar tersebut dibuktikan melalui pengujian hopotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t dan taraf kepercayaan @=0.05 dimana t hitung 3,9736^ttabel1,674 yang berarti dalalm penelitian ini HO ditolak sekaligus menerima signifigkan setelah duajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Inkuiri dan metode pembelajaran Konvensional pada materi pokok Indera Perasa dan Indera Pengecap Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri II Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013
