Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep concept attainment dengan menggunakan peta pikiran sebagai upaya mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa pada sub materi pokok fluida statis di kelas XI semester II SMA N 1 Tanjungtiram T.A 2012 2013Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Semester II SMA N 1 Tanjungitram yang terdiri dari 3 kelas Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI-IA 1 berjumlah 36 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IA 3 berjumlah 36 orang sebagai kelas kontrol Instrumen yang digunakan adalah aktivitas belajar dan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan jumlah 20 item. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep concept attainment dengan menggunakan peta pikiran dan kelas kontrol dengan model konvensionalSebelum diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda dilakukan pretes yaitu nilai rata rata pretes kelas eksperimen 27 5 dengan standar deviasi 11 4 dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 27 4 dengan standar deviasi 10 4 Pada pengujian data pretes kedua kelas diperoleh bahwa data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen Hasil uji t pretes diperoleh thitung ttabel 0 038 1 997 maka H0 diterima artinya kemampuan awal siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sama. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep concept attainment menggunakan peta pikiran dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran konvensional Selama proses pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat yaitu pertemuan I 48 9 pertemuan II 71 4 dan pertemuan III 86 7 Setelah pembelajaran selesai, diberikan postes dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 77,8 dengan standar deviasi 11 3 dan kelas kontrol 52 9 dengan standar deviasi 10 4 Pada pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas data postes diperoleh bahwa data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil pengolahan data postes diperoleh bahwa thitung ttabel 9 562 1 997 maka Ha diterima artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan akibat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep concept attainment dengan menggunakan peta pikiran sebagai upaya mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa pada sub materi pokok fluida statis di kelas XI semester II SMA N 1 Tanjungtiram T.A 2012 2013
