Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan lapisan keras dan struktur batuan yang terdapat dibawah permukaan tanah pada daerah pesisir pantai Sialang Buah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai berdasarkan analisa nilai resistivitasnya dengan menggunakan metode geolistrik schlumberger. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode geolistrik konfigurasi schlumberger, yang didasari dengan Hukum Ohm untuk mengetahui nilai resistivitas jenis perlapisan batuan pada tiap lapisan permukaan bumi. Dengan menginjeksikan arus melalui dua elektroda arus maka beda potensial yang muncul dapat terukur dari elektroda potensial. Variasi harga tahanan jenis akan didapatkan jika jarak masing-masing elektroda diubah, sesuai dengan konfigurasi alat yang dipakai (Metode Schlumberger) dengan nilai tahanan jenis yang terukur bukan merupakan harga sebenarnya akan tetapi merupakan nilai tahanan jenis semu (Apparent Resistivity). Data pengukuran di lapangan berupa beda potensial dan arus dapat digunakan untuk menghitung harga resistivitas semu (Apparent Resistivity) yang diperoleh dengan alat geolistrik (Resistivity meter), ARES-G4 v4.7 SN: 0609135 (Automatic Resistivity System). Kemudian data yang diperoleh dibuat gambar model penampang dua dimensi dengan menggunakan software Res2Dinv untuk menampilkan penampang kontur nilai resistivitas perlapisan batuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daerah peisisr pantai Sialang Buah memiliki nilai resistivitas yang sangat rendah yaitu sekitar 1,11 Ωm sampai dengan 5,23 Ωm pada lintasan pertama, 1,24 Ωm sampai dengan 2,23 Ωm pada lintasan kedua, dan 1,07 Ωm sampai dengan 1,95 Ωm pada lintasan ketiga. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian daerah pesisir pantai Sialang Buah tidak bisa dibangun gedung bertingkat karena tidak terdeteksi adanya lapisan keras dan struktur batuan pada bawah permukaan tanah. Pada pengukuran nilai resistivitas setiap lintasan memiliki ketidakpastian atau persentase kesalahan 4,2%- 21,8%.
