Abstract

Hasil observasi dan wawacancara dengan guru bidang study matematika kelas X SMA Primbana menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan belajar mengajar masih dilakukan dengan pengajaran langsung berupa penyampaian materi lewat ceramah, latihan dan memberikan tuggas-tugas dan jarang sekali guru mengajak siswa untuk melakukan diskusi kelompok. Keadaan pembelajaran seperti ini menyebabkan siswa tidak aktif dan tidak mempunyai keterampilan dalam mengembangkan diri, sehingga hasil belajar siswa dalam materi logaritma masih rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah yaitu dari tes awal yang dilakukan peneliti hanya terdapat 11 orang siswa yang tuntas belajar dari 32 jumlah siswa secara keseluruhan (34,4%).Untuk mengatasi permasalah diatas maka dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi logaritma di kelas X SMA Primbana pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Kooperative Tipe STAD. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X1 SMA Primbana. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian aktivitas belajar siswa mengunakan lembar observasi, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan mengunakan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap, yakni mereduksi data, pemaparan data, dan penimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperative Tipe STAD diperoleh hasil analisis: (1) pada siklus I diperoleh 19 siswa (59,4%) yang telah mencapi tingkat ketuntasan belajar , sedangkan 13 siswa (40,6%) belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar. Dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 67,7. (2) dari siklus II diperoleh 28 siswa (87,5%) yang telah mencapi tingkat ketuntasan belajar , sedangkan 4 siswa (12,5%) belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar. Dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 75. (3) hasil observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika pada materi logaritma dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berjalan dengan baik. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi logaritma di kelas X1 SMA Primbana.
