Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada materi listrik statis di kelas IX semester I SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar T.A 2012/2013.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar yang berjumlah 9 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas IX5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IX2 sebagai kontrol. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Instrumen dalampenelitian ini adalah berupa tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari 15 soal dengan 4 option. Soal tersebut selain divalilidasi oleh validator juga divalidasikan ke sekolah dan telah valid dan memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan uji t untuk melihat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pretes diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 30,44 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 30,22. Kemudian dilakukan analisa data dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Dari hasil pengujian normalitas data pretes kelas eksperimen diperoleh Lhitung = 0,1548 dan data pretes kelas kontrol diperoleh Lhitung = 0,137 dan Ltabel = 0,161, sedangkan hasil pengujian homogenitas data pretes diperoleh Fhitung = 1,11, Ftabel =1,65. Karena Lhitung>Ltabel dan Fhitung < Ftabel maka diperoleh sampel berdistribusi normal dan berasal dari populasi yang memiliki varians homogen. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol. Setelah pembelajaran diberikan kemudian pada kedua kelas dilakukan postes. Untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata 74,62 dan untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 64,94. Hasil observasi aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan keaktifan siswa yang baik dalam proses pembelajaran. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh thitung = 2,33 dan ttabel = 1,59. Karena thitung > ttabel maka hipotesis (Ha) diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi listrik statis di SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar kelas IX semester I T.A 2012/2013.
