Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan manajerial dengan kinerja guru; (2) untuk mengetahui hubungan antara supervisi kepala sepala dengan kinerja guru; (3) untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan manajerial dan supervisi kepala sekolah secara bersama-sama dengan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 14 Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua guru yang berjumlah 46 orang, dan jumlah sample sebanyak 46 guru. Metode penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian yaitu menggunakan angket yang disusun peneliti. Sebelum Instrumen digunakan terlebih dahulu diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis korelasi dan regresi dengan taraf signifikan = 0,05. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis penelitian, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas data dengan rumus Liliefors, uji kelinieran dan keberartian persamaan regresi dengan avava dan uji homogenitas dengan uji Bartlett. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan bahwa variabel kemampuan manajerial, supervisi dan kinerja guru termasuk kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan manajerial dan supervisi kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru, baik secara sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama.

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the relationship between the manajerial skills of the principal on teachers performance, (2) the relationship between the principal supervision on teacher performance, (3) the relationship between both managerial and supervisory skills and teachers performance. The research was conducted at the SMPN 14 Medan. The population of this research was all teachers numbered 46 persons, and the number of samples were the 46 teachers as well. The research method was quantitative with correlation analysis. The techniques for data collection was a structured questionnaire composed by the researcher. The validity and the reliability of the instrument was tested prior to the application of the instrument. The data were anaysed by using correlation and regression analysis by the significance level = 0.05. Data normality was tested by using Liliefors formula, the linearity and regression equations was tested by using Anava, and the homogenity was tested by using Bartlett test. The results yield that the variable managerial skills, supervision, and teacher performance are in the medium category. The results show that there is a significant correlation between managerial skills and principal supervisory on teachers performance, either respectively or collectively.
