Description:

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan membaca dengan mengapresiasi cerpen, hubungan kemampuan menulis cerita narasi pengalaman sendiri dengan mengapresiasi cerpen, dan hubungan antara kebiasaan cerita dan kemampuan menulis cerita narasi pengalaman sendiri secara bersama-sama dengan mengapresiasi cerpen. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas 2 SMA Methodist I Hangtuah Medan dengan jumlah 60 orang yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik random sederhana dari populasi yang berjumlah 300 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rnetode kordinat. Untuk teknik analisis data penelitian digunakan analisis korelasi product moment yang dilanjutkan dengan korelasi persial, regresi sederhana dan korelasi ganda. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik angket dan teknik tes. Teknik angket digunakan untuk menjaring data variabel kebiasaan membaca cerita narasi dan teknik tes digunakan untuk menjaring data variabel kemampuan menulis cerita pengalaman sendiri dan variabel mengapresiasi cerpen. Uji coba instrumen penelitian untuk ketiga instrumen tersebut didasarkan pada uji validitas butir instrumen dengan menggunakan rumus product moment dan uji reliabilitas instrumen penelitian digunakan rumus Spearman Brown dan rumus Alpha Crombach. Berdasarkan hasil analisi data uji coba instrumen angket diperoleh koefisien reliabilitas angket kebiasaan membaca cerita narasi sebesar 0,874 dan tingkat reliabilitasnya tinggi.untuk instrumen tes kemampuan menulsi pengalaman sendiri diperoleh koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,791. untuk instrumen tes kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen diperoleh koefisien reliabilitasnya 0,480 dan tingkat reliabilitasnya termasuk kategori cukup Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa 1) terdapat hubungan positif kebiasaan membaca cerita dengan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen dengan koefisiensi korelasi ry1 = 0,761 dan persamaan regresi y=6,912 + 0,180 x 1(Th > Tt) atau (6,590 > 2,001). Dengan sumbangan efektifnya 64,11%. 2) terdapat korelasi positif antara kemampuan menulis cerita narasi tentang pengalaman sendiri dengan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen dengan koefisien korelasi ry2 = 0,664 dan persamaan regresi Y = 8,245 + 0,590 x 2 koefisien determinasi r2 y2 = (0,6642= 0,441 atau 44,10%. Th>Tt atau 45,816 > 5,30 ) dengan sumbangan efektif 4,19 %. 3) terdapat hubungan positif antara kebiasaan membaca cerita dan kemampuan menulis

The research objective was to determine the relationship of reading to appreciate the stories, relationship skills to write a narrative story own experience with the appreciation of short stories, and the relationship between habitual story and the ability to write narrative stories of his own experience together to appreciate the stories. Research conducted on high school students in grade 2 Methodist I Hangtuah Medan by the number of 60 people who obtained the using simple random technique from a population of 300 people. The method used is rnetode coordinates. For data analysis techniques research used product moment correlation analysis, followed by Persia correlation, simple regression and multiple correlation. Data collection techniques techniques used are questionnaires and test techniques. Questionnaire technique used to variable data capture habit of reading the story and narrative techniques used test to capture the variable data capability to write their own stories and experiences variable appreciation of short stories. Research instrument to test the three instruments are based to test the validity of the instrument items using the formula and the product moment reliability test research instruments used Spearman Brown formula and formula Alpha Crombach. Based on the analysis of data obtained by testing the questionnaire instrument coefficient reliability of the questionnaire habit of reading the story and the narrative of 0.874 tinggi.untuk reliability test instrument capabilities menulsi own experience reliability coefficient of 0.791. to test the ability of the instrument appreciate the reliability coefficient of 0.480 obtained by the short story and the sufficient reliability category The results of this study revealed that 1) there is a positive relationship habit of reading the story with the ability to appreciate the short story by correlation coefficient = 0.761 and ry1 regression equation y = 6.912 + 0.180 x 1 (Th> Tt) or (6.590> 2.001).
