Description:

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis siswa. Hal ini disebabkan guru masih dalam pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Oleh karena itu perlu perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran, yaitu menggunakan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR). Penelitian ini berbentuk kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen, bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis siswa, serta proses penyelesaian masalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa siswa kelas VII MTs Tanjung Pura yang memiliki rombongan belajar lebih dari 1. Secara acak, dipilih 2 sekolah yaitu MTsN Tanjung Pura dan MTsS Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah. Kemudian dari setiap sekolah dipilih secara acak 2 kelas dengan kemampuan sama untuk menetapkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pendekatan PMR, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan pendekatan konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes kemampuan awal matematika, tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, angket disposisi skala likert, lembar observasi. Instrumen tersebut dinyatakan telah memenuhi syarat validitas dan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,79 dan 0,93 bertutur-turut untuk kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U, ANOVA Dua Jalur dan ANAVA Satu Jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis siswa yang diberi pendekatan PMR secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diberi pendekatan konvensional. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah yang diberi pendekatan PMR, sedangkan pada peningkatan disposisi matematis antara siswa kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah yang diberi pendekatan PMR tidak terdapat perbedaan, tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan kemampuan matematika siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis. Hasil penelitian lainnya, jumlah dan persentase siswa yang memperoleh batas skor 65% atau lebih pada postes kemampuan komunikasi matematis untuk kelompok pendekatan PMR sebanyak 38 dari 65 orang atau sebesar 58,46% dan kelompok pendekatan konvensional sebanyak 22 dari 63 orang atau sebesar 34,92%.

The problem in this research is the lowness of the communication ability and the students mathematics disposition. This matter is caused by the teacher is still in learning that uses the conventional approach. Therefore, we need the change in learning process, is using the realistic mathematics approach. This research forms exprement wuation with non-equivalen control group design. Aim to know the communication ability and the student mathematics disposition, than the solving problem test in the mathematics communication ability. The population in this research is all the students in VII MTs Tanjung Pura that have learning group more than 1. Randomly, it is chosen two school are MTsN Tanjung Pura and MTsS Jamiyah Mahmudiyah. Then, each school is chosen randomly two clases with the same ability to certain the experiment class and control class. The experiment class is given the realistic mathematics approach, in the other side, the control class is given the conventional approach. The instrument is used that consist of the beginning ability mathematics test, the communication ability mathematics test, the observation pieces. The instruments is stated that has fulfilled the validity requirements and the realibility. Coefficient 0,79 and 0,93 sistematically to the communication ability and the mathematics disposition. The analyse data is done with using the test Mann Whitney U, ANOVA two ways and ANOVA one way. The research result show that the communication ability increasing and the student mathematics disposition are given the realistics mathematics approach significantly better than the studen are given the conventional approach. There is the differences in increasing the mathematics communication ability the students has the high, between middle and low ability that are given the realistics mathematics approach, in other side, in increasing the mathematics disposition between the high, middle and low studentsability that are given the realistics mathematics approach. There are no differences, no interaction between the learning approach and the studentsmathematics ability to the increasing communication ability and the mathematics disposition. The other research result, the total and prosentation students get the scone limit 65% or more in the mathematics communication ability postest for the realistics mathematics approach group is 38 students of 65 students or 58,46% and the conventional approach group is 22 students of 63 students or 34,92%.
