Description:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh alat visualisasi (gambar diam vs animasi) terhadap miskonsepsi, hasil belajar dan persepsi siswa pada pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dan menggunakan rancangan penelitian pretest-postest control group design dan posttest-only design. Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode statistik non parametrik, uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa animasi lebih efektif dibandingkan gambar diam dalam memperbaiki miskonsepsi. Hashl penelitian juga mempeiiihatkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara gambar diam dan animasi dalam skor penilaian untuk kemampuan berpikir tingkat rendah. Persepsi siswa terhadap animasi sebagai alat visualisasi lebih baik daripada gambar diam.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of visualization tools (static graphic vs. animation) on students misconception, achievement and perception in biology learning. The type of this study was quasi experiments and it was carried out with pretest-posttest control group design and posttest-only design. Data collected was analyzed with non parametric statistic method, Mann Whitney test. The findings of this study had shown that animation more effective than static graphic for correction misconception. The findings of this study also showed that there were no significant difference between static graphic and animation in lower level cognitive competency assessment scores. Students perception of animation better than static graphic.
