Abstract

This study examines: (1) The effect of inquiry learning using Microsoft Frontpage media on the results of junior high school students learning science, (2) Effect of high learning activities for junior high students science learning outcomes, (3) Effect of interaction between inquiry learning using microsoft media frontpage with learning activities on learning outcomes of junior high students. The study population was all eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar consists of 7 classes of the school year 2012/2013. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample consists of 2 class, the experimental class taught with inquiry learning with media microsoft frontpage the eighth grade-1 and grade control is taught with expository learning with media Charta is class VIII-6 with a sample of 60 students. The research instrument in the form of test results and questionnaire study learning activities. Perform test using Microsoft Excel 2007 and of 40 items tested contained the 30 items were valid. Test retiabilitas diperoleb r11 0.944 (very high). Tests were conducted in the form requirements of normality and homogeneity test, the obtained results that the data is normal and homogeneous. The data analysis performed by the General Linear Models (GLM) Univariate. The results showed that: (1) learning outcomes of students who learned with inquiry learning with Microsoft Frontpage media had a mean gain is 0.46 higher than the average gain of student learning outcomes are taught with expository learning with media Charta is 0.29; (2) average yield gain obtained high student activity is 0.523 (medium category) higher than the average gain of the active low at 0.242 (low category), and (3) there is interaction learning model with learning activities in affecting student learning outcomes.
