Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA Materi energi Alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan apakah melalui model mind mapping dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi alternatif.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus, yang terdiri atas 4 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi alternatif melalui model mind mapping. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes dan Kriteria ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa didasarkan ketuntasan secara perorangan dengan nilai ≥ 70. Dan secara klasikal ketuntasan seluruh siswa dikatakan telah berhasil dalam belajar apabila memperoleh persentase ≥ 85%. Pada saat melakukan pengamatan PPLT yang mencapai nilai tuntas lebih dari nilai ≥ 70 adalah 10 orang (33,33%) dan yang tidak mencapai nilai tuntas 20 orang siswa (66,66%). Kemudian Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh selama pengamatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada setiap siklus Yaitu : Pada siklus I diperoleh data bahwa sekitar 14 orang siswa (46,67%) siswa yang hasil belajarnya tergolong tuntas dan 16 orang (53,33%) siswa yang hasil belajarnya tergolong tidak tuntas, Pada siklus II diperoleh data bahwa 1 orang (3,33%) siswa yang hasil belajarnya belum tuntas dan 29 orang (96,67%) siswa yang hasil belajarnya tergolong tuntas.Dari penelitian tindakan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran mind mapping kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, sebaiknya model pmbelajaran mind mapping digunakan guru sebagai salah satu alternatif guru dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA, maupun pada mata pelajaran lainnya.
