Abstract

Masalah dan tujuan rumusan dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD Negeri 064016 Bilal Ujung? Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran IPA.Motivasi adalah suatu kondisi yang menyebabkan atau menimbulkan perilaku tertentu untuk melakukan sesuatu. Motivasi itu timbul bisa dari luar dan juga dari dalam diri sendiri atau disebut dengan motivasi ekstrinsik dan motivasi intrinsik. Problem Based Learning adalah model pembelajaran yang proses pembelajaran bertitik awal pada pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dalam kehidupan nyata lalu dari masalah ini siswa dirangsang untuk mempelajari masalah berdasarkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang telah mereka punyai sebelumnya sehingga akan membentuk pengetahuan dan pengamatan baru.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 24 orang siswa yang terdiri 11 orang siswa laki-laki dan 13 orang siswa perempuan SD Negeri 064016 Bilal Ujung. Sedangkan yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan medel Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi gaya pokok bahasan pengaruh gaya terhadap gerak benda. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan selama 2 siklus dalam setiap siklus dilakukan melalui 4 tahap, yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan observasi.Berdasarkan analisis data pada siklus I terlihat 6 orang siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar baik dengan persentase 25% dan 18 orang siswa yang belum memiliki motivasi belajar baik yaitu: 10 orang siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar yang kurang dengan persentase 41,67%, 8 orang siswa memiliki motivasi belajar cukup dengan persentase 33,33%. Jadi kesimpulan dari siklus pertama maka terlihat motivasi belajar 18 orang siswa masih tergolong kurang. Maka dilaksanakan siklus II motivasi belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 5 orang siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar sangat baik dengan persentase 20,8%, 18 orang siswa memiliki motivasi belajar baik dengan persentase 75% dan 1 orang siswa memiliki motivasi belajar cukup hanya 4,2%. Observasi guru siklus I memiliki rata-rata 3,4 kategori cukup, sedangkan siklus ke II memiliki rata-rata 47 kategori baik.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA di kelas IV SD Negeri 064016 Bilal Ujung. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat diterapkan sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
