Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan pendekatan lingkungan dapatmeningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sains sub pokok bahasanakar pada tumbuhan di kelas IV SD Negeri No.050596 Kuta Parit Kec. Selesaidalam memahami pengertian, jenis dan fungsi akar pada tumbuhan pada saatproses pembelajaran dan untuk mengetahui upaya apa saja yang dilakukan dalammeningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tersebut.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri No.050596Kuta Parit kec. Selesai Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 37 orang. Objekdalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar. Untuk memperolah data dalam penelitianini digunakan Tes Hasil Belajar I dan Tes Hasil Belajar II yang berbentuk uraian.Tes Hasil Belajar I berjumlah 5 soal, tiap butir soal terdiri atas bagian essay danTes Hasil Belajar II berjumlah 5 soal. Digunakan lembar pengamatan (observasi)sebanyak lima kali pertemuan. Sebelum tes diberikan terlebih dahulu divalidasidengan bantuan tiga orang validator yang merupakan pakar didalam bidangnya.Setelah data terkumpul dan dilakukan analisis maka diperoleh hasilanalisisnya : (1) Tes hasil belajar I di siklus I diperoleh 20 orang (53,1%) telahmencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar (yang mendapat nilai minimal 65) dan 17orang (46,9%) yang belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dengan nilai rata-ratahasil belajar siswa sebesar 66. (2) Tes hasil belajar II pada siklus II diperoleh 30orang (87,5%) yang telah mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar, sedangkan 7 orang(12,5%) belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajarsiswa sebesar 86. Maka terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I dansiklus II sebesar 34,4% dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar20. (3) hasil observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwapembelajaran pesawat sederhana dengan menggunakan pendekatan lingkunganberjalan dengan sangat baik.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa upayameningkatkan hasil belajar pada pokok bahasan akar pada lingkungan denganmenggunakan pendekatan lingkungan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa
