Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi panas dan energi bunyi. Guru hanya menggunakan model ceramah dan siswa hanya mendengarkan penjelasan guru sehingga siswa menemukan kesulitan untuk memahami pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individually dalam pelajaran IPA materi energi panas dan energi bunyi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan lembar angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV-B SD Negeri 101775 Sampali Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang, yang terdiri dari 7 orang siswa perempuan dan 19 orang siswa laki-laki. Penelitian ini dilakukan sesuai dengan jadwal pelajaran IPA di kelas tersebut. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan lembar observasi yang diamati oleh observer diperoleh data jumlah skor pada kondisi awal 14 orang siswa (53,84%) dengan motivasi kurang, 10 orang siswa (38,46%) dengan motivasi cukup dan 2 orang (7,69%) dengan motivasi baik. Pada siklus I terdapat 9 orang siswa (34,61%) dengan motivasi cukup, dan 16 orang siswa (61,53%) dengan motivasi baik, 1 orang siswa (3,84%) motivasi belajarnya sangat baik. Dan pada siklus II terdapat 8 orang siswa (130,77%) dengan motivasi baik dan 18 orang siswa (69,23%) dengan motivasi sangat baik. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan lembar angket yang dilakukan di siklus I dan siklus II diperoleh data. Pada siklus I terdapat 16 orang siswa (61,53%) dengan motivasi kurang, 7 orang siswa (26,92%) yang memiliki motivasi cukup dan 3 orang siswa (11,54%) dengan motivasi baik. Dan pada siklus II terdapat 3 orang siswa (11,54%) dengan motivasi cukup, 8 orang siswa (30,77%) memiliki motivasi belajar baik dan 15 orang siswa (57,69%) dengan motivasi belajarnya sangat baik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran team assisted individually dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi pokok energi panas dan energi bunyi di kelas IV-B SD Negeri 101775 Sampali.
