Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa pada materi Persiapan Sampai Detik-detik Proklamasi. Dimana penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkn hasil belajar siswa pada materi Persiapan Sampai Detik-detik Proklamasi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe the power of two di kelas V SD Negeri 107411 Lau Rempak Kecamatan STM Hilir.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 107411 Lau Rempak sebanyak 20 orang siswa yang terdiri dari 7 orang laki-laki dan 13 orang perempuan. Pelaksanaan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilakukan dengan 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitina ini adalah tes dan observasi. Tes yang diberikan berupa soal essay tes dengan 20 butir soal. Soal yang diberikan 3 kali yaitu: tes awal, siklus I, dan siklus II. Sedangkan observasi meliputi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dimana nilai standar ketuntuntasan belajar adalah 65 apabila nilai siswa kurang dari 65, maka siswa dikatakan belum tuntas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada saat dilakukan tes awal dari 20 orang siswa diperoleh 3 orang siswa (15%) yang mendapat nilai tuntas sedangkan 17 orang siswa (85%) yang belum mendapat nilai tuntas, selanjutnya pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang tuntas belajar naik menjadi 12 orang siswa (60%) yang mendapat nilai tuntas sedangkan jumlah siswa yang tidak tuntas belajar semakin menurun yaitu 8 orang siswa (40%), pada siklus selanjutnya yaitu siklus II ketuntasan hasil belajar semakin meningkat yaitu dari 20 orang siswa sebanyak 16 orang siswa atau sekitar 80% yang mendapat nilai tuntas, dan sebanyak 4 orang siswa atau sekitar 20% yang belum mendapat nilai tuntas pada mata pelajaran IPS khususnya materi Persiapan Sampai Detik-detik Proklamasi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe the power of two dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS kelas V siswa SD Negeri 107411 Lau Rempak Kecamatan STM Hilir. Disarankan kepada guru hendaknya menggunakan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi agar siswa lebih bersemangat dalam pembelajaran.
