Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini adalah masalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Sains materi Gaya Magnet di kelas V SD Negeri 112313 Brussel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Sains materi Gaya Magnet dengan menggunakan metode Eksperimen di kelas V SDN 112313 Brussel T.A 2011/2012. Pada metode Eksperimen siswa melakukan percobaan untuk membuktikan sendiri sesuatu teori.Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah “setelah penggunaan metode Eksperimen pada materi Gaya Magnet dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Sains di kelas V SDN 112313 Brussel T.A 2011/2012.Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 112313 Brussel, dengan jenis penelitian yaitu “Penelitian Tindakan Kelas”. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 32 siswa, objek dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Eksperimen, dan data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes.Berdasarkan tes awal (pre tes) yang dilakukan terhadap 32 siswa terdapat 25 orang siswa (78,12%) yang mendapatkan hasil belajar rendah dan hanya 7 orang siswa (21,87%) yang tuntas dan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 40,62. Kemudian pada siklus I terdapat 20 orang siswa (62,5%) yang termasuk pada kategori tuntas dan sebanyak 12 orang siswa (37,5%) termasuk dalam kategori rendah dan rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh 69,68. Pada siklus II terdapat 30 orang siswa (93,75%) yang tuntas, dan hanya 2 orang siswa (6,25%) yang belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 88,12.Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada guru dan siswa diketahui pada siklus I proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung cukup baik. Dari 10 aspek yang diamati, siswa memiliki keriteria nilai cukup yaitu 65, sedangkan pada guru, dari 18 aspek yang diamati guru juga memiliki keriteria nilai yang cukup yaitu 73,61. Pada tindakan siklus II semua aspek yang diamati telah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Diketahui keriteria nilai yang dimiliki siswa yaitu 92,5, sedangkan keriteria yang dimiliki guru yaitu 94,44.Berdasarkan hasil penelitiaan mulai dari pre tes, pos tes siklus I dan pos tes siklus II secara empiris telah terbukti adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian penerapan metode Eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Sains materi Gaya Magnet SDN 112313 Brussel T.A 2011/2012.
