Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan LKS berbasis learning cycle yang layak dan memenuhi syarat sebagai LKS yang baik: (2) mengetahui keefektivan LKS berbasis learning cycle dalam mengatasi miskonsepsi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan produk Borg dan Gall yang dipadu dengan model desain pembelajaran Dick dan Carey. Hasil ini menunjukkan; (1) hasil validasi ahli materi pembelajaran biologi berada pada kategori sangat layak (86,09%), (2) hasil validasi ahli rancangan pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat layak (86,02%), (3) hasil validasi ahli desain tampilan LKS berada pada kategori sangat layak (88,06%), (4) uji coba guru biologi berada pada kategori sangat layak (86,43), (5) uji coba perorangan berada pada kategori sangat layak (88,57%), (6) uji kelompok kecil berada pada kategori sangat layak (88,85%) dan uji coba kelompok terbatas berada pada kategori sangat layak 88,94%. Hasil uji hipotesis membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pemahaman konsep siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan LKS berbasis learning cycle dengan pemahaman konsep yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan LKS konvensional. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh thitung =10,51>ttabel=1,67, dengan dk=(n1+n2-2) dengan taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Berdasarkan hasil data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis learning cycle lebih efektif (79,77%) dibanding dengan pembelajaran menggunakan LKS konvensional (63,38%).
