Abstract

Advances in technology certainly affect education in a region. These technological advances must be able to be rivaled by academics. What is inseparable from education is the curriculum which supports the success and ability to compete in the international arena of education. Therefore, every country is obliged to adjust each learning guide with technological advances and educational competition. Lately it is no stranger to the independent curriculum. However, before heading towards an independent curriculum, there was the 2006 curriculum and the 2013 curriculum which became guidelines for the implementation of learning in Indonesia. Various opinions lead to the implementation of learning in schools according to the abilities and conditions of students. Various positive opinions and comparisons of the two curricula have not escaped the views of the public, including students.
