They used Ngoko speech level because the effect of transmigration that force them to speak Bahasa Indonesia because their environment consisting of other ethnics, so they just speak like the way they talk as usual in their environment and they do not care anymore with Tata Krama (language style), Andap-ashor (humbling oneself while exalting others), and Tanggap ing sasmita (being able to catch the hidden meaning) (2) The characteristic of language in Kelurahan Bandar Selamat Medan show that they have high loyalty to their vernacular. They are proud to use their vernacular and their awareness of the norms is low in their daily life because they live in Sumatera Island, so Javanese norms is not too important (3) Javanese speakers in Kelurahan Bandar Selamat Medan have positive attitude toward their vernacular because they still care with Tata Krama (language style), Andap-ashor (humbling oneself while exalting others) and Tanggap ing sasmita (being able to catch the hidden meaning) like what people do in Java Island.
