Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berbasis Blended Learning lebih tinggi dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensionalpada materi koordinat kartesius di Kelas VIII MTs Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah Tembung T.A. 2021/2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah Tembung yang terdiri dari 6 kelas dengan jumlah keseluruhan siswa 258 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 8 kelas secara acak, maka terpilih kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) Berbasis Blended Learning dan kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Alat pengumpul data digunakan data posttest dalam bentuk uraian, dimana terdiri dari 5 soal yang sudah divalidkan oleh tiga orang validator yang terdiri dari 2 orang dosen matematika Unimed dan 1 orang guru matematika MTs Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah Tembung. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis, terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas tes dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas tes menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil posttest kedua sampel berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal dan homogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel. Dari hasil penelitian setelah diberikan perlakuan selama dua kali pertemuan, yaitu pada kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) Berbasis Blended Learning diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 86 dan kelas kontrol yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 73,83. Untuk uji hipotesis digunakan uji t, dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh thitung = 5,425 dan ttabel = 1,671 dengan α= 0,05 dan dk = n1 + n2 -2 = 58. Ternyata thitung > ttabel yaitu 5,425 > 1,671 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan demikian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) Berbasis Blended Learning lebih tinggi dari kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada pokok bahasan koordinat kartesius di kelas VIII MTs Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah Tembung T.A. 2021/2022.
