Abstract

Pembangkit listrik tenaga surya merupakan suatu pembangkit energi listrik yang memanfaatkan energi matahari yang menyerap radiasinya untuk dikonversikan menjadi energi listrik. Baterai menjadi komponen utama sistem penyimpan energi banyak digunakan karena kemudahan dalam penggunaannya. Untuk pengisian baterai pada umumnya memakai tenaga fosil dari PLN. Tetapi, pengisian baterai menggunakan PLN dapat digantikan dengan memakai energi radiasi matahari melalui panel surya. Salah satu yang mempengaruhi pengisian daya pada baterai yaitu jenis panel surya yang digunakan dalam pengisian. Sehingga dibutuhkan metode untuk meningkatkan pengisian daya pada baterai. Salah satu metode yang dapat diharapkan untuk meningkatkan pengisian daya pada baterai diantaranya dengan cara mengkombinasikan panel surya dan memposisikan panel surya ke arah selatan dengan sudut 15o agar tegak lurus terhadap matahari. Teknik meningkatkan pengisian daya dengan cara menyatukan jenis panel surya monocrystalline dengan polycrystalline secara paralel serta menggunakan baterai lihtium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) yang dapat mengisi daya dengan cepat dan memiliki life cycle yang panjang. Penelitian dilakukan mulai pukul 11.00 WIB sampai baterai terisi penuh selama 10 hari dimana hasil pengukuran dicatat dalam selang waktu per 5 menit. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan kombinasi panel surya ternyata daya keluaran lebih kecil dan waktu pengisian lebih lama di bandingkan dengan jenis panel surya monocrystalline dan monocrystalline, sebab tingkat efisiensi jenis panel surya berbeda satu dengan yang lainnya. Keluaran panel surya tertinggi dan waktu pengisian yang cepat terjadi pada pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dengan jenis panel surya monocrystalline dengan monocrystalline sebesar 13,04 Volt, 2,67 Ampere, 34,89 Watt dan waktu pengisian 1,2509 Hours. Keluaran panel surya terendah dan waktu pengisian yang lama terjadi pada pembangit listrik tenaga surya dengan jenis panel surya polycrystalline dengan polycrystalline sebesar 12,95 Volt, 2,07 Ampere, 26,8 Watt dan waktu pengisian 1,567 Hours.
