Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe, dengan tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengetahui hasil analisis bahan ajar kimia yang digunakan di Sekolah Menengah Ketas (SMA) pada materi asam basa telah memenuhi kriteria oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) (2) Mengetahui bahan ajar kimia yang digunakan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) pada materi asam dan basa telah berbasis problem based learning, (3) mengetahui pengembangan modul asam dan basa sudah sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP), (4) Mengetahui modul pembelajaran kimia yang dikembangkan pada materi asam dan basa telah memenuhi kajian problem based learning, (5) Mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap aspek tampilan, materi dan manfaat modul berbasis problem based learning pada materi asam dan basa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar ini adalah ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) yang dimodifikasi sampai tahap pengembangan. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah modul pembelajaran kimia berbasis problem based learning. Rata-rata analisis modul berbasis problem based learning oleh dosen dan guru kimia yang telah dikembangkan adalah 3,42 artinya valid dan tidak perlu direvisi. Penilaian presentasi tingkat kepuasan siswa terhadap modul yang telah dikembangkan sebesar 89,77% (sangat tinggi). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran kimia berbasis problem based learning yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar yang digunakan oleh siswa SMA.
