Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan laboratorium virtual (online labs) terhadap keterampilan proses sains fisika siswa pada materi getaran harmonis di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian control group pre-test post-test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel penelitian diambil 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Kelas X MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 25 siswa dan X MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian terdiri dari 8 soal berbentuk essay yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen adalah 20,72, dan kelas kontrol adalah 20,14. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas. Setelah diperoleh data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, kemudian dilakukan pengujian hipotesis (uji t dua pihak) dan diperoleh hasil bahwa thitung < ttabel, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa kemampuan awal siswa kedua kelas adalah sama. Setelah itu diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan laboratorium virtual (online labs) dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah pembelajaran selesai, diberikan postes dan diperoleh hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 77,36, dan kelas kontrol adalah 57,64. Hasil pengujian dengan hipotesis menggunakan uji t satu pihak, diperoleh thitung = 5,203, sedangkan ttabel = 1,668. Karena thitung>ttabel (5,203>1,668) maka H0 ditolak dan diterima Ha. Dengan demikan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan laboratorium virtual (online labs) terhadap keterampilan proses sains fisika siswa.
