Abstract

Permasalahan yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 152992 Tapian Nauli pada mata pelajaran tematik yang diakibatkan oleh model pembelajaran yang belum bervariasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Tematik Sub Tema 1 yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Talking Stick dan Time Token. Dari perbandingan hasil belajar tersebut akan diketahui model pembelajaran yang paling efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode komparasi hasil dari dua model pembelajaran. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 34 siswa yang duduk di kelas IVA dan IVB, tahun pelajaran 2020/2021, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran talking stick dan time token. Prosedur yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment design (eksperimen semu) dengan membagi peserta didik ke dalam dua kelompok. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen observasi kelas dan pemberian tes tertulis berupa tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test). Instrumen test terlebih dahulu diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Observasi merupakan instrumen penilaian terhadap perangkat, proses pembelajaran; dan perilaku siswa dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran. Hasil belajar dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dengan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Dari hasil analisis berbantuan SPSS diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran Time Token menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pretest 56,47 meningkat menjadi 81,47 pada post-test. Sedangkan model pembelajaran Talking stick menunjukkan peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata pretest 57,06 menjadi 86,47 pada post-test. Sementara perbedaan nilai N-Gain Score atau peningkatan nilai Talking stick meningkat 70,07%, sedangkan Time Token sebesar 58,67%. Uji signifikansi varians Levene's Test for Equality of Variances menunjukkan Sig. 0,256 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,009 yang berarti ada perbedaan signifikan dan nyata antara hasil kedua model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Talking Stick memberikan hasil yang lebih signifikan dan efektif daripada model pembelajaran Time Token. Akan tetapi kedua model memiliki keunggulan, dimana Talking stick memberi pengalaman belajar yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif berpikir dan mengemukakan pendapat, sedangkan Time token memberikan pengalaman belajar yang mendorong siswa untuk memiliki keterampilan sosial mendengarkan dan mengemukakan gagasan dengan lebih jelas dan ringkas.
