Abstract

Permasalahan yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya penilaian guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kec. STM Hulu terhadap metode pembelajaran yang lebih mampu melibatkan siswa, dengan pandangan bahwa antara metode yang satu dengan metode yang lain memiliki tujuan yang sama yaitu menyampaikan materi tanpa menilai keunggulan dari setiap metode pembelajaran, baik dari waktu maupun langkah - langkah pembelajaran suatu metode. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi guru mengenai metode Know Want to know Learned (KWL) dalam proses pembelajaran tematik di Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kec. STM Hulu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui penyebaran angket atau kuesioner tertutup. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh guru kelas Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kec. STM Hulu, Kab. Deli Serdang yang berjumlah 53 orang. Analisis terhadap angket atau kuesioner dilakukan dengan sistem skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru tentang metode Know Want to know Learned (KWL) dalam proses pembelajaran tematik di Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kecamatan STM Hulu dikategorikan baik dengan rata-rata perolehan skor jawaban kuesioner yaitu 4,10. Apabila dipersentasekan maka diperoleh 20,19% memilih alternatif jawaban sangat setuju, 72,55% memilih alternatif jawaban setuju, 5,57% memilih alternatif jawaban ragu-ragu, dan 1,70% memilih alternatif jawaban tidak setuju, namun tidak ada satu responden pun yang memilih alternatif jawaban sangat tidak setuju. Jika dilihat dari setiap indikator, maka pada indikator kognitif sebanyak 19,71% memilih alternatif jawaban sangat setuju, 70,44% memilih alternatif jawaban setuju, 6,08% memilih alternatif jawaban ragu-ragu, dan 3,77% memilih alternatif jawaban tidak setuju. Pada indikator afektif sebanyak 19,18% memilih alternatif jawaban sangat setuju, 75,79% memilih alternatif jawaban setuju, dan 5,03% memilih alternatif jawaban ragu-ragu. Dan pada indikator konatif sebanyak 22,26% memilih alternatif jawaban sangat setuju, 72,45% memilih alternatif jawaban setuju, dan 5,28% memilih alternatif jawaban ragu-ragu. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Guru Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kec. STM Hulu memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang metode Know Want to know Learned (KWL) dalam proses pembelajaran tematik, artinya dengan persepsi ini Guru Sekolah Dasar Gugus 1 Kec. STM Hulu menilai bahwa metode Know Want to know Learned (KWL) baik untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajarana tematik di sekolah.
