Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis multimedia yang layak dan memenuhi syarat sebagai media pembelajaran yang baik; (2) mengetahui bahan ajar berbasis multimedia sebagai media ajar lebih efektif dibanding dengan pemakaian bahan ajar modul.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development) dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan produk Borg and Gall. Model pengembangan produk pembelajaran ini merupakan model yang disusun secara terprogram dengan urutan yang sistematik dan memenuhi karakteristik siswa dalam belajar. Model pengembangan ini meliputi 9 tahapan yaitu: (1) Penelitian dan pengumpulan data, (2) Perencanaan, 3) Pengembangan draf produk, (4) Uji coba lapangan awal (validasi ahli), (5) Revisi, (6) Uji coba lapangan (perorangan dan kelompok kecil), (7) Revisi, (8) Uji Pelaksanaan lapangan, (9) Penyempurnaan produk akhir. Setelah dihasilkan produk akhir maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Efektifitas produk dalam proses pembelajaran. Subjek uji coba terdiri dari dua ahli materi mata diklat Mikrobiologi, dua ahli desain pembelajaran, dua ahli media pembelajaran, tiga siswa untuk uji coba perorangan, Sembilan siswa untuk uji coba kelompok kecil dan tiga puluh enam siswa untuk uji coba lapangan. Data tentang kualitas produk pengembangan ini dikumpulkan dengan angket dan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian pengembangan menunjukkan; (1) hasil validasi ahli materi tentang penilaian kelayakan isi berada pada kriteria sangat baik (87,69%), (2) hasil validasi ahli desain pembelajaran berada pada kriteria sangat baik (93,61%), (3) hasil validasi ahli media pembelajaran berada pada kriteria baik (77,10%), (4) Uji coba perorangan berada pada kriteria sangat baik (92,82%), (5) Uji coba kelompok kecil berada pada kriteria sangat baik (92,61%), (6) Uji coba lapangan berada pada kriteria sangat baik (93,02%) dan untuk keseluruhan kategori menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik (89,48%).Hasil uji efektifitas produk pada proses pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran lebih efektif (88,91%) dibanding dengan pembelajaran menggunakan modul (82,03%).
