Educational Values in Umpasa in Toba Batak Marriage Customs

This study aims to determine the values of education in Umpasa in the Toba Batak marriage custom with the study of Sociology and Literature. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive research methods that describe or describe the symptoms and facts systematically. The data collection techniques used to obtain data were listening to video recordings and interviews. From the research results obtained educational values contained in the Toba Batak Marriage Custom, namely religious values consisting of 12 umpasa fruits, moral values consisting of 4 umpasa fruits, social values consisting of 6 umpasa fruits and cultural values consisting of 3 umpasa fruits. From these data, it can be seen that the most dominant educational value is religious value as many as 12 umpasa. The author hopes that there will be further, more in-depth research on the Values of Education in Umpasa in the Toba Batak Marriage Custom with different studies to get a more perfect study result.
