Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) untuk melatih kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik pada materi Usaha dan Energi yang memenuhi kelayakan instrumen tes. Jenis penelitian research and depelopment (R&D) model Van Den Akker dengan subjek penelitian yaitu kelas X MIA 2 yang berjumlah 32 orang peserta didik di MAN Medan. Hasil Penelitian indikator HOTS, menjelaskan, menggambarkan, membandingkan, menyelidiki, dan menjelajahi sudut pandang dengan hasil tes 12,5% siswa mendapat hasil sangat baik, 6% siswa mendapat hasil baik, 15,6% siswa mendapat hasil cukup, 18,8% siswa mendapat hasil kurang, dan 41% siswa gagal. Instrumen tes yang telah dikembangkan telah dilakukan uji validitas dengan hasil 95%, uji reliabilitas dengan hasil 0,82, dan memiliki jumlah kelayakan soal 65%.
