Abstract

Preparasi dan Karakterisasi Katalis Co dan Co-Mo yang diembankan pada Zeolit Alam Aktif sebagai katalis dapat ditingkatkan melalui aktivasi dan modifikasi logam. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan modifikasi zeolit alam sarulla melalui pengembanan logam Co dan Co-Mo untuk mengetahui karakteristik zeolit yang terbaik. Aktivasi zeolit alam sarulla dilakukan dengan refluks menggunakan HCl 3M, 5M dan 7M pada suhu 90℃ selama 30 menit, dilanjutkan kalsinasi dan oksidasi dengan aliran gas O2 pada temperatur 500℃ selama 2 jam. Impregnasi logam Co dan Co-Mo menggunakan larutan garam prekursor (Co(NO3)2.6H2O dan (NH4)6Mo7O24.4H2O dengan metode refluks dilanjutkan proses kalsinasi dan oksidasi dengan aliran gas O2 pada temperatur 500℃ selama 2 jam. Karakterisasi katalis dilakukan menggunakan XRD, SEM-EDX dan FTIR. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa dengan penambahan logam Co dan Co-Mo mempengaruhi persen kristalinitasnya, Co/ZAS 5M dan Co-Mo/ZAS 3M yang memiliki karakteristik lebih baik dengan kristalinitas 35.0649% dan 29.7702%. Dari analisa SEM-EDX menunjukkan bahwa logam Co dan Co-Mo menghasilkan morfologi yang lebih homogen, Co/ZAS 5M dan Co-Mo/ZAS 3M yang memiliki morfologi permukaan yang lebih seragam dan homogen. Hasil analisa FT-IR menunjukkan aktivasi dengan pengasaman mengakibatkan terjadinya dealuminasi sehingga kerangka tetrahedral zeolit lebih efektif dan menunjukkan gugus fungsi karakteristik dari zeolit. Co/ZAS 3M, 5M, 7M pada bilangan gelombang 1049.27 cm-1, 1064.70 cm-1, 1080.13 cm-1. Co-Mo/ZAS 3M, 5M, 7M pada bilangan gelombang 1064.70 cm-1, 1049.27 cm-1, 1056.99 cm-1.
