Ability to Analyze Structure and Language of Negotiated Text for Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Pegajahan 2019/2020

This study aims to describe the ability to analyze the structure and language of the negotiating text of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pegajahan in the 2019/2020 academic year. The population of this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pegajahan in the 2019/2020 learning year. For this study, a sample of 36 students of class X IPA 3 was taken through random sampling technique. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research instrument used was a test to analyze the structure and language of the negotiating text. The results showed that the ability of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pegajahan in analyzing the structure and language of the negotiating text was in the good category with an average score of 73.33. These results were obtained based on the assessment aspect in the form of completeness in analyzing the structure which obtained an average score (79.16) in the good category and analyzing language obtained an average score (68.21) in the good enough category. Based on the frequency distribution table, the percentage value of the ability to analyze the structure and language of the negotiating text of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pegajahan from 36 research samples can be seen that 2 students (5.6%) are in the "very good" category, 25 students (69.4%) in the "good" category, 8 students (22.2%) were in the "good enough" category, and 1 student (92.8%) in the "poor" category. Through this research, it is expected that Indonesian language teachers can find out the ability to analyze students, especially in analyzing the structure and language of the negotiating text.
