Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada sub materi perubahan lingkungan di kelas X MIA SMA N 1 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen, dimana populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMA N 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang berjumlah 214 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan adalah random sampling dimana sampelnya adalah kelas X MIA 4 yang berjumlah 35 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penguasaan siswa mencapai 78,97% dimana ini termasuk kategori tinggi, ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 91.4% termasuk kategori tuntas, dan ketercapaian indikator mencapai 77.44% termasuk kategori tercapai termasuk ke dalam kategori aktif.. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning efektif digunakan pada sub materi perubahan lingkungan di kelas X MIA SMA N 1 Percut Sei Tuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2019/2020.
