Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil studi literatur model pembelajaran Discovery Learning untuk meningkatakan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini adalah riset kepustakaan sehingga data yang diperoleh berasal dari kumpulan literatur seperti skripsi dan jurnal yang relevan dengan topik pembahasan yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Jenis penelitian ini berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dikarenakan siswa di tuntut untuk menemukan sesuatu dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan, jadi dalam proses penemuan tersebut siswa akan mengembangkan ide-ide kreatif yang ada pada siswa, sehingga pembelajaran akan lebih bermakna. Dalam model Discovery Learning terdapat enam tahapan proses pembelajaran yakni; Stimulation, Problem Statement, Data Collection, Data Processing, Verification, dan Generalization. Masing-masing tahapan tersebut memiliki peran pada peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.
